Devotion 1 of 2: Josh 5
In this chapter, Israel was circumcised at Gilgal before taking the land. Circumcision is the cutting off of the flesh and spiritually symbolizes the cutting off of the fleshly sin nature as well as the act of water baptism (Col 2:11-12).
In applying this to the LDC, I believe it symbolizes that believers who enter the PL (Promised Land) of endtime revival will grow to become fully mature so that they will not be dragged down by the flesh in everyday living. They won’t be sinless, but will walk with Jesus and overcome fleshly temptations.
That’s why God will entrust them with spiritual authority to stop the rain and bring forth plagues as often as they desire (Rev 11:6). Let’s seek God to overcome the flesh so we can also overcome the AC!

Devotion 2 of 2: Josh 6
This chapter describes how Israel conquered Jericho, the first city they invaded in Canaan. Their battle strategy was to march around the city with the Ark once a day for 6 days and then circle it 7 times on the 7th day, all without uttering a sound (v.6-15)! Then, after the 7th time, they all shouted and the priests blew trumpets at the same time, and the walls fell down, and Israel was able to take the city (v.20)!
I believe the reason God ordered this strategy was to show Israel that it wasn’t their fighting skills that brought them victory over Jericho, but it was the Lord God only! It will be the same in the endtime! To defeat AC, we will need to hear the voice of the Spirit and obey God completely!
