Devotion 1 of 2: Josh 3

This chapter is about Israel crossing the Jordan River and entering Canaan. One very interesting fact is that the priests carried the Ark of the Covenant into the Jordan 2,000 cubits ahead of Israel (v.4).
I believe we can look at the Ark as a symbol of Jesus, who received water baptism at the Jordan almost 2000 years ago at around 26-30AD. Then he entered his public ministry of proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing and setting people free from Satan’s oppression.
And I believe that about 2000 years after Christ, the church will also cross over the Jordan, enter the Promised Land of revival, and bring healing and deliverance from sickness and oppression to millions of people!
Let’s believe God’s endtime plan of revival and be one of the churches that will bring it to pass in Japan!

Devotion 2 of 2: Josh 4

This chapter describes Israel taking 12 stones from the Jordan as a memorial of God opening up the Jordan River and allowing Israel to cross over it into the PL (v.4-8)! God didn’t want Israel, or the world (v.24) to forget what he did for Israel!
So God doesn’t want the LDC to forget, either, because he will do the same for the LDC in the endtime by leading us into our Promised Land--revival for our nation! So let’s not forget! Those memorial stones were for Israel, but also for the LDC!
