Devotion 1 of 2: Deut 30
In v.1-5, Moses warned Israel that if they disobeyed God’s commandments, they would be taken captive by their enemies. This prophecy was fulfilled twice, the 1st time by Israel’s captivity to Babylon in 597BC and their return in 538BC, and the 2nd time by their diaspora to the nations in 70AD and their return in 1948! So this was an amazing prophecy that was supernaturally fulfilled 2X!
God’s Word is true, and we can depend on it! Let’s obey God’s instructions and fulfill his prophecies about us, the LDC, being used by God in the great endtime revival!

Devotion 2 of 2: Rom 14
This chapter speaks of liberty and love. We have the liberty to do many things, but if what we do stumbles someone else, Christians are obligated by love not to do it (v.20-21).
Sometimes I wonder if we can apply this principle to the use of guns. In the U.S., guns are widely allowed in many states. Actually, 64% of the population wants stricter gun laws (they stumble over guns). But the gun lobby gives politicians a lot of money, so laws that limit guns are not passed.
And many Christians also agree with loose gun laws despite a majority of people opposed to them. So the increase of guns has resulted in a great increase of gun violence and killings.
Let’s be sensitive to how people feel about our behavior. Let’s stop actions that cause people to stumble.
