Devotion 1 of 2: Mark 9

The story of the Mt. of Transfiguration in v.1-13 are a picture of the LDR, which is what v.1 describes as the kingdom of God present with power! Elijah, Moses and Jesus represent 3 aspects of the LDC.
Elijah had authority to stop rain and battled against Baal worship; the LDC will also have authority to stop rain (Rev 11:6) and will overcome the worship of the image of AC (Rev 13:14-15).
Moses used turned water to blood and caused plagues to strike Egypt in order to save Israel; the LDC will also have authority to cause plagues in order to save the people of their nation from AC and Satan.
Jesus appeared in his glory on the Mt. of Transfiguration (v.3). Jesus will also reveal his glory in the LDC to save, heal, deliver and work miracles! This is why the LDR will happen, the greatest revival in the history of the world!

Devotion 2 of 2: Deut 9

Reading this chapter made me realize how longsuffering God was with Israel before they entered the Promised Land. I believe God reminded them of their many failures so that they would not be proud and think they entered Canaan by their own righteousness or strength.
This is an important lesson for the church that takes part in the LDR. It’s not because of our works, but only because of God’s calling and grace that we will bring revival to the world! Let’s never forget to give all the glory to God!
