Devotion 1 of 2: Deut 4
Christians believe that God wanted to give his message to mankind, so he inspired 40+ authors to write his words. We also believe that God led Israel’s and the early church’s leaders and scholars to decide which books to include in the Bible. Once the OT and NT were formed, he didn’t want any books to be subtracted or other books to be added, so he left 2 Scriptures, one in the OT and one in the NT that stated that. Here they are:
Deut 4:2. You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
Rev 22:18-19. For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Devotion 2 of 2: Mark 4
The disciples asked Jesus about the parable of the sower (v.10), and Jesus explained, saying that he spoke in parables so that those who are outside the kingdom would hear but not understand. He also stated that to some the mystery of the kingdom of God would be revealed (v.11).
I believe this applies to endtime teaching also. God has used many parables to teach us what will happen in the LD, so that those outside the kingdom will not understand but we will! Some examples of LD parables are: Feasts of Israel, Moses’ Tabernacle, Journey of Israel, High Priest’s Garments, etc.
