Devotion 1 of 2: Deut 3
The tribes of Reuben, Gad and half of Manasseh decided to settle in the land east of Jordan (v.12-13). But they agreed to fight with the other tribes until all of Canaan was taken, and then they would return and live in their land (v.18-20).
So I believe their land was considered the same as the Promised Land which was west of the Jordan River. God is not rigid but flexible, so we should learn to be flexible also!

Devotion 2 of 2: Mark 3
MARK 3: Answers! (2/2)
1) The Pharisees made Sabbath laws so strict that even doing good or saving life were prohibited (v.4)! We should not be so strict about obeying God’s Word that we make rules that bind people and stop them from doing something good, but that is against our rules, like Jesus’ healing, which was against the Pharisees’ rules (v.5-6). We should have a healthy balance between obedience and showing mercy!
2) The LDC will do the works of Jesus as promised in John 14:12. When we do that, what happened to Jesus will happen to us, and this will lead to revival in Japan as well as in other nations! When people’s needs are met and their sicknesses and pains are healed, they will come in great multitudes (v.7-10)!
