Devotion 1 of 2: Deut 1
This book is Moses’ last message to Israel. He reviews their past history of failures as they enter Canaan and urges them to obey God and they will be blessed and warns them if they disobey God, they will be cursed.
One of their biggest failures was not to enter Canaan the 1st time. The reason they didn’t enter was because they believed the Amorites were too strong and their cities too fortified for Israel to win (v.28).
This same reason applies to the LD church. Many of today’s Christians believe the world is too strong and the cities too great for the church to win them to salvation.
But we need to do what Israel didn’t do. We need to look at God Word, at His promises! In Rev 7:9, 14, he promised an uncountable number of people will be saved during the tribulation from every nation, people group and language! Let’s confess this will happen in Japan, and millions will be saved!

Devotion 2 of 2: Mark 1
MARK 1: Answers!
1) I showed I was a Christian by praying for my lunch before I ate. When my co-workers noticed this, they mocked me to test my faith. But I answered them with firmness and conviction, so they began to respect me as a genuine Christian and started calling me, “Pastor.”
We must experience God, develop a strong faith and take our stand as a believer in Christ. Persecution will come, but if we are sure of our faith, our co-workers will respect us and open their hearts to the Jesus in us.
2) Jesus prayed and connected to God to receive his anointing and power (v.35).
