Devotion 1 of 2: Job 14
We can see Job’s thinking about the following topics in this chapter.
1) Life: It’s full of trouble (v.1-6) and hope being destroyed (v.18-19).
2) Resurrection of trees: Trees can resurrect quickly (v.7-9).
3) Resurrection of man: But man cannot resurrect until the heavens are no more (v.10-12). When man resurrects, there will be no judgment of sin (v.14-17).
4) Death: It’s a way to escape the wrath of God (v.13). It’s when man is sent away, and although his sons come to honor him, man doesn’t know it (v.20-21). It’s also a time of pain and mourning (v.22).
This gloomy philosophy of life is affected by the sufferings Job was going through. We want to be endtime workers who can help people going through suffering to find deliverance and healing!

Devotion 2 of 2: Matt 14
(2/2)
1) Just as John the Baptist was killed by beheading, so the LDC, after 3.5 years of world revival and an uncountable number of people getting saved, will be killed by AC (Rev 11:7; 13:7). Many of those martyred will be beheaded because they refused to worship the beast or take his mark (Rev 20:4). Let’s be inspired by John’s example to never compromise to AC, even if it means death by beheading!
2) Rev 13:16-17 says that those who refuse to take the mark of the beast won’t be able to buy or sell. That means we won’t be able to buy food! Many believers will be tempted to compromise for fear of starving to death, but we can receive great encouragement through the story of the feeding of the 5,000 that, if we can do the works of Jesus, as promised in John 14:12, we’ll be able to multiply food and not starve! Elijah also produced food for a poor widow and her son to save them from starvation (1 Ki 17:9-16)! Let’s not take the mark of the beast and believe God to fill our need for food!
