Devotion 1 of 2: Job 12
Job feels his friends are mocking him (v.4), and counters that he is not inferior to them and has understanding as well as they (v.3). This is what bad counseling produces—the counselee feels he/she is being judged and reacts by rejecting the advice of the counselor.
The ideal counseling is not to tell the counselee what is right or wrong, or what he should do or not do, or judge him for his mistakes. The best counseling is to understand the counselee and his problems and to help him to see for himself what his problem is and what he should do to fix it. In other words, we help the counselee to solve his own problem. That way he will take ownership of the solution and will work hard to bring it to pass. Let’s seek God to make us effective counselors to help people solve their problems!

Devotion 2 of 2: Matt 12
(2/2)
Jesus is our example. What happened to him will likely happen to us in the endtime. When Jesus healed the demon-possessed blind and mute man in v.22-24, the people were so amazed and thought Jesus must be the Messiah! But his enemies turned it around and said something completely ridiculous and contradictory! They said Jesus was driving out demons through Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons!
So when the LDC heals and does miracles during the endtime revival, and many people are astounded and think that Jesus must be the true God, AC will say we are doing miracles through Satan’s power and try to turn the people away from us! Let’s study how Jesus answered them and do the same: If I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you (v.28)!
