Devotion 1 of 1: Gen 45
1) He said it wasn’t his brothers, but God who sent him to Egypt (v.5, 8).
2) A) Joseph’s family was saved, and also many other lives were saved (v.5, 7).
B) Through the Joseph Church (LDC), which is a church of love and unity, many hundreds of millions, or even over 1B, lives will be saved out of every nation in the world!
GEN 46 sharing:
In v.28, while traveling to Egypt, Jacob sent Judah ahead to meet Joseph. We can see the trust that Jacob had for Judah. Judah’s status among the brothers was elevated after he offered himself as a substitute for Benjamin (Gen 44:33) because by doing that, he became a type of Jesus’ sacrificial death for humanity on the cross! God also honored Judah by choosing him to become the kingly tribe (Gen 49:10) and the tribe that led Israel on their journey (Num 10:11-28)!
