Devotion 2 of 2: Gen 40
(2/2)
Joseph interpreted the butler’s dream, and it came true. In 3 days, he was restored to serving Pharaoh again (v.12-15, 20-21)! But the butler forgot to tell Pharaoh about Joseph (v.23)! But this was also God’s will and plan because if he had done so, Joseph might have been freed from prison, but he would most likely have been returned to his previous state, which was being a slave! But because the butler forgot about Joseph for 2 years, the timing was right for Pharaoh’s dreams and Joseph interpreting them and being promoted to 2nd in command in Egypt! God’s timing is always perfect and our desires are not!
