Devotion 1 of 2: 2 Kings 23
1) I think King Josiah’s reform of burning the Asherah idol that was in the temple and throwing its ashes upon the graves of the common people (v.6) was very important because that idol defiled the house of the Lord.
2) We need to keep Jesus in the center of our hearts not allow anything else to take his place, not our wealth, status, reputation, family or even our own life!

Devotion 2 of 2: 2 Kings 24
Nebuchadnezzar conquered Judah and took her people captive (v.10-17), so it looked bad for the Jews, but in the book of Jeremiah, we learned that Nebuchadnezzar was God’s servant to cleanse Judah of her many sins of idolatry, etc. In a similar way, God will use AC to cause the church to stop being lukewarm and become either hot or cold!
