Devotion 1 of 2: Job 27

In v.3-6, Job feels very strongly that he is innocent of all accusations of his friends that he was wicked, and that’s why God was punishing him! He felt if he agreed with his friends' accusations, he would be lying (4)! I think he was right because God himself said in 1:8, “There is no one on earth like Job; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil!”

Devotion 2 of 2: Matt 27

The Unification Church’s claim is wrong. What Jesus words meant was not that the cross was a failure, but that God the Father forsook Jesus because Jesus took all the sins on mankind upon himself on the cross, and a holy God could not accept sin. Jesus needed to do that to remove sin from us, so we could be forgiven and be given eternal life! So the cross was a success, not a failure!
