Devotion 1 of 3: Jer 39
All that Jeremiah prophesied came true, and all that the false prophets prophesied didn’t! Neb did invade and destroy Judah, Jerusalem and the temple, kill many Jews and take many captive to Babylon (v.1-9)! In the same way, God’s prophecies about the endtime, the LDC and antichrist will also come true!

Devotion 2 of 3: John 18
The Jews had a custom of one prisoner being released by the Romans during Passover (v.39). Pilate, finding no guilt in Jesus (v.38), wanted to set him free (v.39), but the crowd rejected Jesus and wanted a robber, Barabbas, released instead (v.40)! In Japan there is a group of former yakuza members who have become Christian. They call themselves “Barabbas” because they were criminals whom Jesus took the place of and saved from hell. But actually, all of us are Barabbas because Jesus died in our place to give us eternal life! Thank you, Jesus!
