Devotion 1 of 1: Jer 38
1) A) Stay in Jerusalem and die by sword, famine or pestilence or B) Go to the Chaldeans and live (v.2).
2) A) Those who stay in Jerusalem because they fear Nebuchadnezzar symbolize Christians who fear antichrist so they want to avoid him and believe in the pre-trib rapture to escape from him. So when AC appears before they are raptured, they are not prepared to face him and either compromise and fall away or don’t compromise and are martyred.
B) Those who go to the Chaldeans symbolize Christians who understand that God’s purpose in sending antichrist is to purify the church so they submit to that purpose by repenting of sin and lukewarmness and becoming hot for Jesus (Rev 3:15-16). They will become the LDC, which will be protected from AC’s persecution for 3.5 years (Rev 11:5-6) and bring an awesome revival and a great harvest of uncountable numbers of souls from every nation and language (Rev 7:9, 14)!
