Devotion 1 of 3: Mark 16
1) a) V.1 says 3 women went to the tomb, but v.9 mentions only Mary Magdalene.
b) V.5 says the 3 women saw an angel, but v.9 says Mary Magdalene saw Jesus.
c) V.8 says the 3 women were afraid so they said nothing to anyone, but v.10 says Mary Magdalene told the disciples about what she saw.
2) 3 women went to the tomb, saw an angel and 2 of them didn’t talk to anyone because they were afraid. But Mary stayed at the tomb longer, met Jesus and told the disciples about what she had seen.
3) Jesus rebuked the unbelief of the 11 disciples because they didn’t believe the reports of those who encountered the resurrected Jesus (v.14)! But after they met the resurrected Jesus themselves (v.14) and after they experienced the outpouring of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2), they were transformed into dynamic revivalists who overcame persecution, spread the gospel throughout the world and boldly died for their faith!

Devotion 3 of 3: Ps 135
An important principle of worship is revealed in v.15-18—in many ways, we become like what we make, trust and worship! These verses say those who make, trust and worship idols, who cannot speak, see or hear, are like them—spiritually, they become dumb, blind and deaf! I believe this applies to those who worship Jesus, too—if we worship from our hearts, we will be transformed more and more into his image! PTL!
