Devotion 1 of 2: Judg 7
In v.9-15, God told Gideon to go to the enemy’s camp and listen to their talking. When Gideon did that, he heard enemy soldiers talking about how they would lose to Gideon! Thus he went to battle with confidence of victory! If we could hear evil spirits talking of their fear of the LDC, we would be inspired, too! I believe antichrist’s forces will be the same!

Devotion 2 of 2: Judg 8
In v.4-35, at the end of the battle and of Gideon’s life, along with victory came also character flaws, idolatry and concubines. One of his character flaws was resentment and seeking vengeance toward Sukkoth and Peniel for not giving his men bread (v.4-9) when they were pursuing the Midianites. So after defeating the Midianites, Gideon whipped Sukkoth’s elders with desert thorns and briers and pulled down Peniel’s tower and killed her men (v.16-17). This flaw led to idolatry and many concubines.
