Devotion 1 of 2: Col 4
The Bible was written to fit in with the culture of that day as long as the culture wasn’t wicked. In Bible days, slavery was a part of the culture, so the Bible recognized it. If the Bible didn’t fit in to the culture, it would have been rejected by the people of that day.

Devotion 2 of 2: Isa 57
I think the worst form of idol worship found in this chapter was the sacrifice of children to idols (v.5b). The 2nd worst was acts of fornication as a form of idol worship. Verse 3 indicates that many Jews were children of sorceresses, adulterers and prostitutes! That was because sorceresses and prostitutes worked in heathen temples and had babies through sexual acts that were offered as worship to their gods. Verses 7-9 also talk about the Jews making their beds on a high hill where they offered sacrifices, forsaking God, doing sexual acts and going to Molek, an idol god.
