Devotion 1 of 2: Isa 24
This prophecy in Is 24 is predicting the end of this world age as spoken of in Rev 8-9. This will happen because mankind defiled the earth and disobeyed laws, so they must bear their guilt and receive the curse that consumes the earth (v.5-6).

Devotion 2 of 2: Luke 24
①The disciples thought the Messiah would redeem or deliver Israel from the Romans (v.21). ②That wrong Messianic Redemption Vision caused them disappointment when Jesus was crucified and confusion when they heard rumors that Jesus was alive (v.22-23). Furthermore, Jesus described them as foolish because they didn’t believe what the prophets had spoken (v.25)! ③The result of being taught the correct Messianic Redemption Vision from Jesus was that their hearts were set on fire (v.32)!
