Devotion 1 of 2: Gen 49
Simeon and Levi were scattered in Israel by not receiving their own homeland because of their angry cruelty in the Dinah incident (Gen 34). Simeon did not receive their own separate homeland, but had to live within Judah’s territory (Joshua 19:1-9). Levi was not given their own inheritance (homeland) either (Josh 13:33). Instead, the other tribes, from out of their homeland, gave Levi 48 cities and the land around them to live in (Josh 21). The 6 Levite Cities of Refuge were among these 48 cities.

Devotion 2 of 2: Gen 50
Joseph didn’t repay his brothers for selling him as a slave because he really believed that although his brothers meant him harm, it was God’s plan all along in order to save many lives (v.20). So I believe he not only forgave them, but thanked God for what they had done to him!
We can apply this to our lives by not being angry at the bad things people do to us, but by forgiving them and believing that "what they meant for harm, God uses for good" to form our character so that He can use us to save many souls.
