Devotion 1 of 2: 1 Cor 13
Verse 5 says, “Love…keeps no record of wrongs.” Jesus manifested this love toward his disciples when he poured out the Holy Spirit and used them to build the great early church in spite of their forsaking him and denying him during his arrest, trial and crucifixion!

Devotion 2 of 2: Ps 57
Verse 6b says, “They dug a pit in my path—but they have fallen into it themselves.” King Saul tried to trap David to kill him, but while David was hiding in a cave, Saul came into the same cave to relieve himself, not knowing David was there! He fell into the pit that he had dug for David! David could have killed him easily, but only cut off a piece of his robe to prove to Saul that he wasn’t an enemy (1 Sam 24)!
