Devotion 1 of 2: 1 Cor 12
2 of the gifts of the Spirit are the message of wisdom and the message of knowledge. Knowledge is knowing something supernaturally, from God, and wisdom is knowing how to apply that knowledge. Often, it’s to solve a problem. An example of these 2 gifts can be seen when Joseph understood the dream of Pharaoh about the 7 years of abundant harvests and 7 years of drought and famine. This gift can be seen as the message of knowledge because Joseph knew supernaturally what would happen in the future (Gen 41:25-32). Then he used wisdom to store the surplus grains during the abundant harvest years so he could sell and distribute them and save perhaps millions of people from dying of starvation (Gen 41:33-40)!

Devotion 2 of 2: Ps 56
In v.12, David says he made a vow to God; then he said he would present his think offerings to God. I would like to do the same: make a vow to only say words of thanks to God and people! If I break the vow, I will repent as soon as I can, then renew my vow so that I speak only words of thanks, not dissatisfaction or criticism!
