Devotion 1 of 2: 1 Cor 5
Paul is dealing with the problem of a man sleeping with his father’s wife (v.2). The Corinth Church was proud of the situation (v.2) and even boasted about it (v.6)! I think this means they thought they were showing love, and that’s why they were proud of their attitude! But Paul told them to hand the man over to Satan (v.5) and expel him from the church (v.13).

Devotion 2 of 2: Ps 49
I think the main point of Ps 49 is that we shouldn’t be overawed when people become rich because one day they’ll die, and they won’t be able to take their wealth with them (v.16-17).
