Devotion 1 of 2: Num 33
This chapter is a record of all the campsites of Israel during their 40 years journey in the wilderness! One site in v.9 was interesting. “They moved from Marah and came to Elim. At Elim were 12 springs of water and 70 palm trees; so they camped there.” 12 and 70 appear together several times in the Bible, symbolizing leadership & order.
Gen 46:27 - Jacob’s 12 sons and total family of 70 moved to Egypt and began the nation of Israel. Num 11:16-25 – Moses appointed 70 elders to help lead the 12 tribes. Luke 9, 10 – Jesus chose 12 apostles and 70 disciples.

Devotion 2 of 2: Num 34
This chapter describes the borders of Canaan that God had assigned to Israel. The southern border was the Wilderness of Zin (v.3). The western border was the Great Sea (Mediterranean) (v.6). The northern border was Mt. Hor and Zedad (v.7-8). The eastern border was the Sea of Chinnereth (Galilee) and the Jordan River (v.10-12).
V.14 says that half of Manasseh had received its inheritance on the east side of Jordan. What is surprising is that Manasseh was the smallest tribe, but OT maps show they received the largest land! (1 Cor 1:26-31)

14-15節には、マナセの半部族がヨルダン川東岸の地を相続したと記されています。驚くべきことに、マナセ族は最も小さな部族でしたが、旧約の地図を見ると、彼らが最も広い地を相続したことがわかります。「小よく大を制す!」（1コリ1:26-31）
