Devotion 1 of 2: Job 20
Zophar gives his discourse on how wicked people will eventually perish like refuse (v.7). His words are full of judgment because he bases his thinking only on what he sees outwardly. He has no idea of what happened in heaven between God and Satan in chapters 1 and 2.
Let’s not judge only by outward appearances (John 7:24), but by the spiritual dimension shown to us in Job 1-2!

Devotion 2 of 2: Matt 16
In v.1-4, religious leaders asked Jesus to show them a sign. Jesus warned them that they could decipher signs of the weather but not of the times. Then He said only the sign of Jonah would be given. What is the sign of Jonah? It was that as Jonah was 3 days and nights in the fish, so Jesus would be buried 3 days (Matt 12:39-40).
What an amazing chance Jesus gave the religious leaders to know if Jesus was the Messiah or not. But they rejected it! Today’s Christians may reject the LDR also because it doesn’t fit their doctrines! Let’s pray their eyes be opened!

1-4節で、宗教指導者たちはイエスにしるしを見せてほしいと頼みました。イエスは彼らに、空模様のしるしは見分けられても、時のしるしは見分けられないと警告しました。そして、ヨナのしるしだけが与えられると言いました。ヨナのしるしとは何でしょうか？それは、ヨナが魚の中に3日3晩いたように、イエスも3日間埋葬されるということでした（マタイ12:39-40）。
イエスは宗教指導者たちに、ご自身がメシアかどうかを見極める素晴らしい機会を与えました。しかし、彼らはそれを拒絶しました。今日のクリスチャンも、自分たちの教義に合わないという理由で、終末リバイバルを拒絶する可能性があります。彼らの目が開かれるように祈りましょう。
