Devotion 1 of 1: Job 1

Job was wonderful, righteous man with a blessed family, living a life of abundance (v.1-5). But Satan challenged God that Job only feared God because he was protected and blessed and if that was all taken away, Job would curse God (v.9-11).
So, God allowed Satan in one day to take everything from Job, including his children (v.12-19). But, despite this horrendous loss and tragedy, v.22 says, “In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong.” Let’s study this book to learn more about how to overcome tragedy like Job did.

ヨブは素晴らしく、潔白な人でした。祝福された家族を持ち、豊かな生活を送っていました（1-5節）。しかしサタンは、ヨブが神を恐れるのは守られ祝福されているからであり、もしそれがすべて奪われたらヨブは神を呪うだろうと神に挑みました（9-11節）。
そこで神は、サタンがヨブからすべてを、子供たちも含めて一日で奪うことを許しました（12-19節）。しかし、この恐ろしい喪失と悲劇にもかかわらず、22節には「ヨブはこのようになっても罪を犯さず、神に愚痴をこぼさなかった」と記されています。ヨブのように悲劇を乗り越える方法について、ヨブ記を学びましょう。
