Devotion 1 of 2: Esth 7
Esther overcomes Haman by exposing his evil plot to annihilate her people to the king (v.3-6). So, the king hangs Haman on the same gallows that he had made for executing Mordecai (v.10)! This is the same lesson as yesterday, about the LDC defeating AC and God turning evil into good
The gallows were 50 cubits high (v.9), which is the number of Pentecost. This shows that the LDC will overcome AC through the power of Pentecost and the Holy Spirit!
Let’s all seek to walk in the Spirit everyday because it’s through the Holy Spirit that we’ll defeat AC!

Devotion 2 of 2: Esth 8
King Ahasuerus gave Esther and Mordecai his own authority in v.8: “You yourselves write a decree concerning the Jews, as you please, in the king’s name, and seal it with the king’s signet ring (and) no one can revoke (it).”
So, they wrote a decree in the name of the king, sealed it with the king’s signet ring and sent it out by letters: “By these letters the king permitted the Jews…to destroy, kill, and annihilate all the forces…that would assault them…and to plunder their possessions” (v.11).
What King Ahasuerus did for the Jews is what Jesus has done for the church in Luke 10:19! “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Let’s use this authority to defeat AC and save the people of Japan from Satan’s control!
