Devotion 1 of 2: Prov 20

V.4 says, “The lazy man will not plow because of winter; he will beg during harvest and have nothing.” This verse can be applied to Japan. Winter speaks of Japan’s present spiritual climate. Plowing (and sowing) speak of praying and evangelizing. If we are lazy in these, we will not take part in the great endtime revival of Rev 7:9-14.
What are the plowing and sowing in a spiritual harvest? I think they are prayer and evangelism. Our church prays in our Friday SIRP (Shalom International Revival Prayer) every Friday, 10-11PM, and also our 10 Days SIRP, from the 1st to the 10th of every month from 10-11PM! (Although we are considering changing that to 9-10PM!)
We also have evangelism by the Outreach Team of passing out Manga Mission tracts near Okubo Station every Sunday at 5:30-6:30PM. But we need more ways of effective evangelism at SI. Let’s pray for God’s leading!

私たちの教会は、毎週金曜日の午後10時から11時までSIRP(Shalom International Revival Prayer)で祈りを捧げています。

Devotion 2 of 2: Luke 20

SAT, 8/30, LUKE 20 (Devotion 2) (LDR = Last Day Revival, LDC = Last Day Church, T2 = 2nd half of tribulation)
The parable in v.9-19 is about a vineyard owner seeking fruit from the vinedressers he leased his land to. It is primarily applicable to the Jews and their lack of fruit in accepting Jesus as their Messiah. That resulted in their being cut off from their covenant relationship with God and becoming like the unsaved nations of the world.
This parable can be a warning to believers in the endtime. God has called the church to reap the fruit of an uncountable number of people saved in the LDR (Rev 7:9-14), but many believers don’t believe in it! In this parable, they will be destroyed (go through T2), and others, the LDC, will be given the vineyard, the endtime harvest!
Let’s be the vinedressers who believe and work together with God to produce the LDR in Japan!
