Devotion 1 of 2: Prov 18
V.16 says, “A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men.” An example of this is the gifted music genius Mozart, who played the piano as a child prodigy before European royalty from the age of 6. Also, David’s gift of playing the harp brought him before King Saul while he was just a youth (1 Sam 16:14-23).
This verse also applies to spiritual gifts, like healing and other supernatural abilities. Joseph was taken from prison to stand before Pharaoh because of his gift of interpreting dreams (Gen 41:14-16). When the LDC does supernatural miracles as John 14:12 promises, I believe we will be brought before kings and rulers, as written in Luke 21:12. Let’s use it as an opportunity to share the gospel!

16節には、「人の贈り物はその人のために道を開き、高貴な人の前にも彼を導く。」 「贈り物」は「賜物」にも訳することができます。そういう意味で、この聖句の実例として、音楽の天才という賜物を持っていたモーツァルトは6歳から神童としてヨーロッパの王族の前でピアノを弾いていました。また、ダビデは立琴を弾く賜物を持っていた故に、少年の時、サウル王の前に出ることができました（1サム16:14-23）。
この聖句は、癒しやその他の超自然的な能力といった霊的な賜物にも当てはまります。ヨセフは夢を解き明かす賜物を持っていたため、牢獄から連れ出され、パロの前に立たされました（創41:14-16）。ヨハネ伝14:12の約束通り、終末教会が超自然的な奇跡を行う時、ルカ伝21:12に記されているように、私たちも王や総督たちの前に連れ出されると信じています。その機会を福音宣教をするために活用しましょう！

Devotion 2 of 2: Luke 18
In v.1-8, Jesus spoke a parable about a widow who asked a judge for help against her enemy. At first, she was not heard, but because she continued to ask, the judge eventually avenged her of her enemy!
V.8 says, “I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” In other words, this parable has special meaning for the endtime, when our enemy, AC, will be persecuting us!
God is saying He will help us, but we must seek Him diligently without giving up! Let’s remember this parable when AC attacks us! Let’s persistently seek God because He will protect us!
8/28（木）ルカ18章（デボーション2）
1-8節で、イエスは、敵に対抗するために助けを求めたやもめについてのたとえを話されました。最初は聞き入れられませんでしたが、彼女が願い続けたため、ついに裁判官は敵から彼女を救いました！
8節には、「あなたがたに言いますが、神は、すみやかに彼らのために正しいさばきをしてくださいます。しかし、人の子が来たとき、はたして地上に信仰が見られるでしょうか。」とあります。つまり、このたとえ話は、敵である反キが私たちを迫害する終末の時代に特別な意味を持つのです！
神は私たちを助けると言っておられますが、私たちはひっきりなしに神を求めなければなりません！反キに攻撃されたとき、このたとえ話を思い出しましょう！神は私たちを守ってくださるので、粘り強く神を求めましょう！
