Devotion 1 of 2: 2 Kings 3
There are multiple characters and events in this chapter that we could focus on to gain spiritual lessons, but I would like to focus on v.9-19. The kings of Israel, Judah and Elam went to Elisha and asked him to inquire of the Lord as to what they should do in their battle against Moab because they had no water (v.9-13).
In that tense moment, Elisha made a strange request—he asked for a musician (v.15)! But as we read further, we come to understand because when the musician began to play, the Spirit fell on him, and Elisha began to prophesy (v.16)! Lesson: Music encourages worship, which produces God’s presence, which enables spiritual gifts.
And in the prophecy, all their questions were answered, and all their needs met because God promised them victory over Moab and water for their animals (v.17-19).

この章には、霊的な教訓を得るために焦点を当てるべき人物や出来事が数多くありますが、ここでは9節から19節に焦点を当てたいと思います。イスラエル、ユダ、エラムの王たちはエリシャのもとへ行き、モアブとの戦いで水がないため、どうすればよいか主に尋ねてほしいと頼みました（9-13節）。
その緊迫した瞬間、エリシャは奇妙な願いをしました。立琴を引く者を求めたのです（15節）。しかし、読み進めていくと、その理由が分かります。立琴を引く者が楽器を弾き始めると、聖霊がエリシャに降り、彼は預言を始めたのです（16節）。教訓：音楽は礼拝を促し、礼拝は神の臨在を生み出し、臨在は霊的賜物を可能にします。
そして預言の中で、彼らのすべての疑問は解決され、すべての必要が満たされました。神はモアブに対する勝利と家畜のための水を約束されたからです（17-19節）。
Devotion 2 of 2: 2 Kings 4
Because a widow couldn’t pay debt, she was threatened by creditor to take her sons as slaves. She asked Elisha for help and he solved her problems (v.1-7). How? By unleashing the oil that she already had!
Widow had jar of oil! Elisha told her to gather as many jars from friends as possible, then fill them from her oil! When all jars filled, Elisha said sell the oil, pay off the debt, and live off the rest! Problem solved by the jar of oil she already had!
Many churches have the baptism of the Holy Spirit, but are struggling, not being able to solve their own problems. We need what Elisha did to the widow—release the oil that she already had—to happen to us, so that we meet our own needs and then also reach out to help others!

あるやもめは借金を返済できず、債権者から息子たちを奴隷にすると脅されました。彼女はエリシャに助けを求め、エリシャは彼女の問題を解決しました（1-7節）。どのように？彼女がすでに持っていた油を解き放つことによって！
やもめは油の壺を持っていました。エリシャは彼女に、友人からできるだけ多くの壺を集め、自分の油で満たすように言いました。すべての壺が満ちると、エリシャは油を売って借金を返済し、残りで生活するようにと言いました。彼女がすでに持っていた壺の油によって、問題は解決したのです！
多くの教会は聖霊のバプテスマを受けていますが、自分たちの問題を解決できないで苦しんでいます。エリシャが未亡人にしたこと、つまり、すでに持っている聖霊を解き放つこと、が、私たちにも起こる必要があります。それによって、自分たちの必要が満たされ、そして、手を差し伸べて、他の人をも助けます。
