Devotion 1 of 2: Jer 24

In this chapter we see 2 baskets of figs, one good and one bad (v.1-2).
*Good figs = Jews taken captive but came back (v.5-7). *Bad figs = Jews who stayed in Judah and died (v.8-10).
Application to endtime:
*Good figs = Christians who don’t compromise to AC; will suffer persecution, imprisonment, and martyrdom; but are faithful, so after captivity (persecution), restored to the land (enter heaven).
*Bad figs = Lukewarm Christians who worship AC’s image and take his mark. So, die spiritually by AC. But when Christ returns, will “drink wine of wrath of God” and “be tormented with fire and brimstone” (Rev 14:9-11).
*Jeremiah = LDC that suffers persecution from lukewarm Christianity and AC, but will overcome and bring revival. This is what we should desire to be.

Devotion 2 of 2: Acts 24

While waiting in Caesarea, Paul testified before 3 rulers: Felix (Acts 24), Festus (25), and Agrippa (26). He was under arrest because the religious Jews were accusing him of heretic teachings. In a sense, we are in similar situation. Our teachings of restoration of the church and endtime revival, are not accepted by many churches!
Paul said in v.14-15, “But this I confess to you, that according to the Way which they call a sect, so I worship the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the Law and in the Prophets. I have hope in God, which they themselves also accept, that there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust.”
Paul and the Pharisees believed the Law and Prophets and the resurrection. But they differed on whether Jesus resurrected or not. We also can say, like our Christian friends, we believe all things written in the OT and NT. But our difference is whether we believe God is restoring the church to bring forth an endtime revival or not. Let’s stand strong, like Paul!
