Devotion 1 of 2: Jer 3

This chapter describes the sinful spiritual state of northern Israel and southern Judah. They are called harlots (v.1-3) because they worshiped idols made of stone and wood (v.9). The result of the unfaithfulness of Israel was the land became polluted (v.2) and the latter rain stopped (v.3).
This applies to the spiritual condition of the lukewarm church of the endtime. Rev 3:17 shows the 21st century church will have prosperity and materialism among their idols: “Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked—” Jesus said He would vomit that church out of His mouth (Rev 3:16)!
Let’s seek God to show us any idols we may have so we can repent of them! Let’s cleanse our nation of pollution and be a church that brings the latter rain outpouring of the Holy Spirit!

Devotion 2 of 2: Acts 3

V.20-21 are the Theme Verses for Shalom Church in 2025: “Repent…so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.”
These verses are very important for us to understand. They tell us when Jesus will return! Not the month and day, but the period. It will be the time of refreshing, or time of restoration! Where can we learn about this time? By studying all the OT Scriptures through which the prophets spoke in prophetic parables about the last days! Almost all the OT books contain these prophetic parables. But we must dig them up to find their treasure!
Let’s study the OT prophets so we can discover what God wants us to know about the time of restoration!
