One thing we can learn from Israel’s rains and the 2nd coming of Jesus is that when we see the autumn and spring rains fall (2 outpourings of the Holy Spirit: In Acts 2 and at Azusa Street), we should know that Jesus’ 2nd coming is near. Another thing is that the rains brought abundant harvest in Israel, and in the same way, the outpourings of the Holy Spirit are bringing abundant harvest of souls in the early church and the last day church.

Jesus could not have been a Nazarite because Nazarites cannot drink wine (v.3), but Jesus did at the Last Supper (Matt. 26:29). Another reason is because a Nazarite cannot go near a dead body, but Jesus did when He raised the widow’s son from the dead (Luke 7:14).
