Devotion 1 of 2: Ps 127
The last half of this psalm is about the preciousness of children. They are a heritage and a reward from the Lord and are like arrows in the hand of a warrior (v.3-4). If one has a quiver full of children, he will be happy.
My wife and I have had 4 children. I wanted a boy, so when our first 3 children were girls, we didn’t stop and we had another child, and finally the Lord gave us a boy!
When children are small, they require a lot of attention and care. Sometimes they cry all night, and no matter what you do, you can’t make them stop crying. It can be very frustrating. After raising children myself, I can understand a little why parents sometimes kill their children because of stress. Of course, that can’t be condoned, but I myself have sometimes felt so worn out by the burden of child-raising that I didn’t know what to do!
But if you can cry out to God and somehow receive enough strength to pour love into your children, you will be greatly rewarded! As your children grow up, they begin to bring so much joy, laughter and life into the home! They become the delight of your everyday activities, and you are willing to do anything to help them develop into their full potential.
And when you grow old, and you can’t do the things you used to do, if you poured love into your children, they begin to pour love back into you! They help you in cleaning, moving, cooking, getting paperwork done, checking your financial statements, making sure you pay your bills, etc. They truly are a big help!
Let’s love the children God has given to couples in the church and pray they will receive all the blessings God has prepared for their life!
Devotion 2 of 2: Mark 8

MARK 8: Free sharing!
In v.31, Jesus prophesies to His disciples that “…the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and after 3 days rise again.” But the disciples either didn’t understand or didn’t want to accept these words, so Peter began to rebuke Jesus for making such statements (v.32)! But Jesus reversed the rebuke and told Peter in v.33b, “Get behind Me, Satan! For you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”
I feel we are in the same situation as Jesus was. I believe the 2 witnesses of Rev 11 symbolize the LDC because Rev 11:7 says AC will kill the 2 witnesses and Rev 13:7 says he will kill the saints, making the 2 witnesses the same as the saints.
Then 11:11-12 say after 3.5 days, the saints will rise from the dead and then be raptured! So, like Jesus, we can foretell beforehand that we will be killed, then resurrected and finally raptured!
Despite other people not believing us or thinking us a little strange, let’s not doubt Christ’s Words and let’s share the gospel with our friends!
