Ps 95

Devotion 1 of 1: Ps 95

In v.7b-11, we see that Israel couldn’t enter God’s rest, which was the Promised Land, for several reasons. We want to enter the LD Promised Land (PL), so let’s learn some reasons why Israel couldn’t enter.
Reason 1: They hardened their hearts (v.8). Because they went through much hardships in the desert.
Reason 2: They rebelled (v.8). Because they disobeyed God, especially about entering the PL in Num 13-14.
Reason 3: They tested God (v.9). Because they murmured constantly instead of being thankful and praising God (v.1-7).
Reason 4: They went astray in their hearts (v.10). Because they wanted to go back to Egypt.
Reason 5: They did not know God’s ways (v.10). Because they didn’t understand that God was training them to praise instead of complain, and that God would defeat the giants and give them the PL, if they would believe!
Let’s not be like Israel, but let’s overcome our similar weaknesses and enter our PL of endtime revival!

JOHN 17: Free sharing!
In v.23, Jesus spoke some awesome words, “…that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.”
Jesus taught us that if we pray believing, God would answer our prayer. In v.23, Jesus is praying, and I believe that His prayer will definitely be answered!
What did Jesus pray? That all Christians would be one, just as the Father and the Son are one! This kind of unity is not possible by human effort! I believe it will be a supernatural unity! This has never happened in church history up to now. Of course, we will have this kind of unity in heaven, but Jesus said the purpose for this unity is so that the world will believe that Jesus was sent by God to earth!
In the LDR, hundreds of millions, or even billions of souls will be saved! How can so many be converted to Christ? Not by our feeble efforts! It will be a supernatural phenomenon that will cause so many to repent of their sins and believe that Jesus is the Savior of the world!
Part of it will come from the LDC doing the works of Jesus, like healing the sick, casting out evil spirits, raising the dead, etc. (John 14:12). And part of it will be Christians loving each other and giving our lives for each other under AC’s persecution!
This is also why so many Roman citizens became Christians! Because they saw Christians showing superhuman love and unity even as they were being killed by lions in the Colosseum in Rome! Let’s always seek to be one with and love our fellow Christians!
